1. C. Both The Departed and Radiohead are solid sometimes-brilliant performers. However, once they're over, one never thinks about them. They resonate only as long as the film/song lasts.

2. A. Echo Park is a shambling, awkward, smart, exasperating, and stylish representative of the city of Los Angeles, much like Kerry with the Dems in '04.

3. C. Mike James is the breath of fresh quirky air who will revitalize the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves in their upcoming 2006-2007 season, much like Will Shortz revitalized the New York Times crossword franchise with his kooky groundbreaking puzzle design (if you don't believe me, try working on a freaking Eugene Maleska puzzle.)

4. D. One is evil, the other just pretend evil.
